Release of Online Supervisor Forms and updated Applicant Summary Sheet


Two exciting initiatives will be released by the Graduate Research Office (GRO) during November. Following the successful release of our first eight Candidate forms into the Staff Services Portal, five Supervisor online forms will be released into the Staff Services Portal at 9am on November 23.

An updated Applicant Summary sheet will also be released on November 30.

Supervisor Online Forms

The five Supervisor online forms being released into the Staff Services portal are:

1.    Supervisor Registration

2.    Supervisor Re-registration

3.    GRC Nomination

4.    Autonomous Sanctions Compliance and Risk Assessment Form

5.    Nomination of Examiners

Any Supervisor commencing one of these forms from November 23 onwards will submit an online form through the Staff Services Portal instead of the PDF/Word document currently used. The Staff Services Portal version of these forms can be accessed in the following ways:

1.    Through the existing links on the HDR Website Supervisor Forms page (the relevant links on this web page will be redirected to the associated Staff Services Portal online form on November 23), or;

2.    Directly through the Staff Services Portal catalogue.

When a Supervisor submits one of these Supervisor online forms it will be work-flowed to a GRC, Head of School, and GRO in the same manner that the existing Candidate online forms are progressed.

From November 23, a PDF/Word version of these Supervisor forms can be requested from GRO for scenarios where an Online form cannot be completed.

Application Summary sheet

As part of a broader initiative to continuously improve the provision of high quality and efficient services to Colleges, GRO in consultation with a GRC working group has updated the Application Summary sheet provided to Colleges. The Application Summary Sheet is included at the front of an applicant’s full application and provides a summary of key information required by the Supervisor, GRC or ADR to assess the application.

The primary reason for updating the Application Summary sheet is alignment with the University Lean initiative, enabling increased timeliness of Application Summary sheet delivery into Scholarship ranking processes.

The updated Applicant Summary sheet is being released on November 30, which means any Application Summary sheet created by GRO from November 30 will be consistent with the sample accessed from the link above.
