About the Foundation Studies Program

Based in Hobart, the FSP program starts in February and ends in a graduation ceremony in November of each year. The Foundation Studies Program is designed for students who do not yet have the academic skills to undertake an undergraduate degree.

When undertaking the program, you can choose from streams in Science, Health and Engineering; or Business and Arts.

The program includes two compulsory units: English for Tertiary Studies, and Ideas and Critical Thinking. You can then select three electives from our extensive options in Mathematics, Business, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Computing, Psychology and Legal Studies

Once you gain the requisite marks and an offer in your chosen undergraduate studies from the University, you’ll be ready to embark on your new degree – subject, of course, to course quotas and meeting other course entry requirements.

Think you’re a high achiever? Apply now!
