At the University of Tasmania we don’t sit still for a minute! Our semester 2, 2016 intake starts early and we don’t want your students arriving late or having to defer their studies. As a reminder please note key dates and other important info for commencing students below and factor these dates into planning for visa applications, etc.

1. Semester 2 Orientation week begins Monday 4 July and classes commence Monday 11 July. Arriving for orientation week gives students time to settle in and improves their chances of academic success; so please manage applications with this in mind.

2. Most (but not all) courses can accept late arrivals up to 2 weeks late. In these circumstances contact International Admissions and request a late arrival letter. Students who can’t arrive within 2 weeks of commencement will need to defer their studies.

3. Remember UTAS offers a free airport pick-up to all new international students. To arrange an airport pick-up, the airport pick-up form should be completed at least 48 hours ahead of arrival.

4. UTAS has affordable, high quality accommodation, but to secure a room you need to book in advance:
