Access to new Library catalogue now available
Off-campus access to the library catalogue is now available.
The new library catalogue offers faceted searching which means you can limit your search results e.g. by location, date, format.
Electronic journals are accessible through the new library catalogue.

Library Client Survey winners
Thank you to everyone who responded to the Library’s recent Client Survey. We had over 3600 responses, well up on the 2010 survey responses. Once our final report is in from the company that runs the survey, we will be publishing detailed information on the Library webpage, regarding the results and how we intend to respond to issues raised. For now though, we can announce the winners of the prizes on offfer. First prize of the iPad2 went to Masters of Teaching student, Rosalie Wallace from Devonport, pictured above, receiving her prize from Wendy Hoyle, the Launceston Campus Librarian. The book voucher winners were Hobart based students Alison Young, Andrew Brown and Mathew Finlayson and Hobart staff member Catherine Campbell.
October Library Fine Discounts – Now On
During the month of October, the Library will be offering discounts of up to 50% on all outstanding Library fines (please note: minimum fine payment is $5) plus waived processing fees on the retun of very overdue Library books.

24/7 access to Launceston Campus Library now available
24/7 access to level one of the Launceston Campus Library is now available to UTAS staff and students.
You will be able to access computers, study rooms and study carrels on level one, computers and photocopiers on the landing of level two, newspapers, vending coffee machine, cold water dispenser and toilets.
This new service is the solution for students who work part or full time, and for others who simply want the option of being able to study in a secure environment away from their home, at any time of the day or night.
Monitored security cameras, regular security patrols and a direct phone line to security staff will provide that security.
Please ensure that you carry your swipe card and student ID with you at all times

Campus libraries offer extended opening hours on Fridays during the exam period
Morris Miller Library and Launceston Campus Library will be open until 9 pm on Friday 8 June, Friday 15 June and Friday 22 June.
