The AMC Library houses a collection of recreational fiction available for

loan to all UTAS staff and students. This collection supports many of our

students that who live on-campus for short periods of time and desire some light reading. UTAS staff in Launceston are also becoming aware of this

collection.

The collection is searchable via the UTAS Library catalogue in

many ways. If you are not based at the AMC or Launceston Campuses, you can

request items via the Library’s Item Request forms.

1. Browsing a list of  titles.

From the Library catalogue, choose the Dewey Call Number search option.

Type in the code p/back as your search term.

2. Subject searching the collection.

Most catalogue entries have subject headings. Choose the Subject Keyword or

the General Keyword option. Type in your topic or Genre, and add the word

fiction to your topic. If you get too many results, you can limit the

search to the library location AMC from the Limit By dropdown menu.

3. Search under the Author’s Name or Title of work.
