Royal Society of Tasmania Papers and Proceedings accessible to the world

All published Royal Society Papers and Proceedings from 1924-2009 are available via UTAS ePrints. Between June-October 2012, 38,718 of these papers have been downloaded from the ePrints open access repository indicating the value of this important collection which has not previously been easily discoverable or accessible.

These refereed scholarly papers focus on research in Tasmanian natural sciences and history and other disciplines that are particularly relevant to Tasmanians.

Paper and Proceedings published between 1849-1923 are now being added to the ePrints collection.

Launceston Campus -’Then and Now’ display now on

When you get a chance, come and see our latest display on level 2 of the Launceston Campus Library.  From the establishment of the buildings at Newnham to house the Launceston Teachers College, through to the consolidation of facilities for the Tasmanian College of Advanced Education and on to the TSIT days prior to becoming part of the University of Tasmania.  The display looks at Campus life, facilities and in particular how the library has evolved.

As of the week starting 23 August, the opening hours for Special  Collections will be as follows:

Monday  -  Closed

Tuesday to Thursday -   09:30 – 13:00

Friday - 11:00 – 13:00
