Thank you for your patience regarding the Library notices problem. It has been investigated and we do not expect any difficulties in receiving Library notices.

As stated previously, please ensure that all email communication to you is through your official University webmail account.

If you encounter any further problems, or would like to know more about Library notices or using My Account to renew borrowed items, please ask at any Library Client Services desk.

Hi Sick of people talking in silent areas,
it seems to me that you would have problem studying anywhere as you are quick to blame outside influences. I would relish having a one bedroom apartment to myself where I could study in the comfort of my own house, with food and drinks at my side. Take the phone off the hook. Honestly, if you blame outside noise and telephones ringing, you are just making excuses. It is not that hard to drown out. Nowhere is absolutely quiet and you should be grateful for the areas that you have. Stop seeking perfection. It's not there.

I myself have just discovered these desks. I have not been to MM for 2 years, as I have been concentrating on my computing subjects and had no need, but I'm back into the arts subjects, and have found these wonderful desks and solutions to all my problems! I am excited to give them a go, and get away from my house of 5 people.
Thank you MM! The new desks look wonderful. They allow us more room to spread out, without feeling claustrophobic, and bring in the light of day to energise us. As for food and drinks, let them be, but try to keep them more quiet.

Those who complain about every single little noise need to lighten up. Try some headphones with some classical music. That is enough to drown out distracting noises.
