UTAS Library and the Royal Society of Tasmania are pleased to announce that the ‘Papers & Proceedings’ of The Royal Society of Tasmania have been made openly accessible and discoverable via the Library’s ePrints repository. This amounts to over 1300 articles published between the years 1849 to 1863, and 1924 to 2009 being digitised by the Library and optimised for discovery through search engines such as Google. The latest two issues (currently, 2010 and 2011) remain under a rolling embargo. The use of Optical Character Recognition during the process of digitisation means that the full text of the articles can be searched and discovered.
