IT Online Training added to MyLo

 
 

There are a number of links and modules now in MyLO which will connect you to training materials designed to help you to learn IT applications and improve your IT skills and knowledge.

There are links to Microsoft’s online training materials and the International Computer Driving Licence. In addition there are training
modules for other software including Acrobat, Captivate, Photoshop and Green IT.

Computer skills help – you can sign up for workshops now!

To succeed at UTAS you need some basic  computer skills – you need to be able to access email, create basic Word documents for your assignments, use MyLO the learning management system and manage your files.

If you need help with basic computing UTAS Library is offering you workshops – the Key ICT Workshops commence Tuesday 9 March and the Essential ICT Workshops follow a week later.

To register for these workshops please pick up the forms at any UTAS Library.

Do you need beginner computer skills help?

Key ICT is a new program which offers students beginner computer skills training – the core skills you need to succeed at UTAS. The program comprises 4 sessions: Introduction to computers, File Management, Network and Word Processing.

Registration forms are available from all libraries – ask at the Client Service desk.

The classes commence at the Launceston campus Library and the Morris Miller Library (Sandy Bay campus) on Monday, 2 March, 12 – 2 pm.
