Social Media Guidelines close to approval

The UTAS Social Media Guidelines are close to being finalised with the the last step being consideration by Council at the next meeting on 10 December. We are hopeful they will be approved. The lastest draft version of the Social Media Guidelines are available for anyone who is interested.

In the meantime a fantastic new video has been released by Commoncraft & is well worth viewing for anyone interested in delving further into the use of social media: Social Media and the Workplace.

Draft Social Media Guidelines are now available

After much work we finally have a draft set of Social Media Guidelines for UTAS. The guidelines were developed at the request of the Web 2.0 Working Group but have also had significant input from Web Services staff, the Web Marketing Working Group, CALT and the Web Services Operations Group. The final version is now with the Web Services Steering Committee (WSSC) for final approval but as there has been much discussion and consultation we believe that there might only be minor changes, if any, required. Once the guidelines are approved by the WSSC they will also need to be aproved by Council for those elements that impact on student discipline.
