Work has commenced on a major project to upgrade and update signage at major University locations state-wide. This project is being undertaken to upgrade the signage on prominent buildings in line with the revised University brand and with a view to promoting the University’s presence in our cities.
We have a large array of trees on our campuses which provide a wonderful aesthetic appeal to our campuses as well as welcome shade during the summer months. But what does CSD do to reduce the risk of falling trees and falling tree limbs? Well, quite a lot actually. Here’s an overview from our grounds supervisor.

Here’s some advance notice of works coming up later in the year to replace Substations 1 and 3 at the Sandy Bay campus.
As part of the major central heating replacement project at the Sandy Bay campus, a helicopter will be in operation at the campus on Saturday 27 February.
Weather permitting, on Saturday 5 December tree maintenance works will be carried out to the large eucalypts between the Morris Miller Library and Administration buildings.
On Monday 23 November, path works will commence on the central mall breeze way, and pedestrian access will be restricted.
Work is set to commence on 17 November 2015 to install Telstra mobile network antennas on the roof of Building A.
A large scale project has commenced to replace the district heating system at the Sandy Bay campus. Now that semester 2 examinations have concluded, major works have begun with a number of related external excavations popping up around campus.
There will be a short water outage to the TUU Building on Sunday 15 November 2015.
