UTAS Launches I-PREP Program to get International Students Work Ready University of Tasmania May 1, 2016 Featured, UTAS Want to boost your chances at gaining employment in Australia? The University of Tasmania has launched I-PREP, a program designed specifically to help international students get ready for work. Finding employment in a foreign country can be a daunting experience but with this program, it doesn’t need to be! This two-day program can teach you about Australian workplace culture, resume preparation and applying for jobs. After you successfully pass the two-day training, you may also be eligible for an internship and industry site visit. The employment industry is ever-changing, but I-PREP will provide useful tips and tricks to navigate it by: helping you develop a professional brand and purposeful online social media presence; identifying career goals and transferable employability skills; providing networking opportunities with past International Students; Enhancing the International Student experience through opportunities in Tasmania; and a potential internship and industry visit to gain work experience (conditions apply). This face-to-face course will be held in Hobart on June 22nd and 23rd and in Launceston on June 28th and 29th.
