Continuing Professional Development: Short Course Program 2012 at the University of Tasmania, School of Medicine


The School of Medicine has launched a Short Course Program designed to assist Health Professionals to meet their unique workplace learning needs and Continuing Professional Development requirements. They have developed a program of  innovative short courses are based on current research and contemporary practice and are delivered by UTAS Faculty members and subject matter experts from various health and corporate organisations across Australia.

Onsite Short Courses

The Short Course Calendar outlines the suite of onsite courses which will be conducted throughout 2012 in the state of the art training facilities in Hobart’s CBD. The Short Courses will be accredited through affiliated professional organisations eg. RACGP, ACRRM, RACS , APNA, which will offer participants the opportunity to attain CPD/ CME points for course attendance.  CPD/ CME point allocation will be detailed on individual course flyers.

Workplace Training

The UTAS School of Medicine Short Course Program can also arrange customised training in the workplace. This option offers a cost effective and convenient opportunity to meet an organisation’s specific training needs as it facilitates access for program participants and enhances workplace learning cultures.
