Date/Time: April 5, 13:00 – 14:00
Venue: IMAS Sandy Bay seminar room

Abstract:
The seminar will review new developments in acoustic sensing techniques and their key role in understanding physical and biological processes in shallow water environments. Results from field experiments will be presented including the in-situ characterization of sediment, monitoring of coastal upwelling, imaging of individual zooplankton. Mathematical modelling plays a central role in the analysis and prediction of these environments. Some recently developed tools will be discussed.
