Clinical facilitation using media clips

If you are looking for information about how to improve your communication about clinical facilitation, have you considered viewing a media clip? There are a range of YouTube media clips that can provide tips on a variety of relevant topics such as  effective feedback for learning or characteristics of good teachers.  There are also a range of other topics that are worth considering.  For example What do students expect from teachers? or teaching in the 21st century. The quality of these clips is variable and most are not from a nursing context. However, the messages may be pertinent for providing the information you are looking for.

There are also health care related clips created by a variety of publishershealth or higher education organisations that may be useful to use for demonstrating  skills or useful for knowledge translation. Finding appropriate material can take time, however, using media can be a method worth considering to provide information or generate discussion where words do not convey appropriate context or meaning. Methods to use clips include finding skills demonstrations that do not meet the NMBA competency standards and critiquing them, or alternatively finding high quality clips that demonstrate the gold standard for the activity being discussed.
