What is your favourite film and book? Geoff Rickards and partner

Never Ending Story is my favourite film.  I watched it again with my kids recently and I still cried when the horse sunk.

Choosing a favourite book is harder.  The last one I read that I loved was Treading Lightly by Karl Erik Sveiby and Tex Sculthorpe. I learnt a lot about leadership and sustainable communities. I loved that everyone is seen as a powerful contributor in Australian Aboriginal culture which is important if we are to create resilient societies.

What makes you laugh?

My husband Michael and my kids (Maddie and Tom). They love toilet humour (which isn’t really my humour), I personally love a bit of sarcastic or dry humour.

Tell us one thing on your ‘must do’ list for the future.

Marathon (October, 2019) and an Ironman competition.

What do you consider to be the best part about living in Tasmania?

I love the beaches and beautiful bushwalks right on our doorstep. I love that you are only ever 20 minutes from where you need to be and I love the fact that everyone is so friendly and approachable.

What do you like most about your work?

I feel very privileged to be able to use my skills to help others in the Tasmanian community. I was born and raised in Tasmania so this is very important to me.

Tell us one thing that might surprise people about you.

I am a twin and no he is not identical!
