Reflecting on your year of achievements – and looking ahead to 2017

As we approach the end of the year it is a good time to reflect on your achievements for 2016 and commence your Planning and Career Development (PACD) for 2017. These meetings are very important and you are urged to anticipate and prepare for the conversation in the first part of the New Year.

Some of you will be aware that the University is moving from a paper-based performance system to an online ePerformance system within MyHR. The ePerformance module is intended to provide better systems and structure around PACD planning, record keeping and reporting.

All academic staff on probation in the ‘expectation setting’ or ‘first review’ stages of the cycle will use the new ePerformance system for their conversations. It is also intended that staff on second year review will use ePerformance.  Academic staff on probation must complete their PACD as a priority by 3 February 2017, to ensure their documentation is tabled at the University’s Probation Committee.

Training on ePerformance will be rolled out in January as a priority for Academic Staff Probation conversations and then more widely for general PACD conversations.

Remember that that value of the conversations is in the conversations themselves – not the mechanism for recording them. The transition to ePerformance is simply aimed at ensuring these meaningful discussions are captured with improved career planning and reporting data.

In the meantime, on behalf of the Faculty Management Team, we wish you and your families a safe and happy Christmas and New Year

We are deeply appreciative of your commitment and contribution to another successful year for the Faculty of Health.

Best wishes and thank you all,

Denise and the Faculty Management Team
