Teaching and learning awards 2017
Dear colleagues,
I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to our staff members who received a teaching and learning award in 2017.
An impressive twenty-three staff in the Faculty of Health received teaching merit certificates, nine individual awards and three team awards. A further three staff members received three of seven possible Vice Chancellors’ awards.
This success indicates that many staff members are actively and successfully engaged in projects and activities to enhance the quality of our curriculum.
A strong base of committed staff is critical for student success and teaching awards are an important mechanism for recognising and rewarding effort and success.
I encourage all staff consider participating in the University’s Peer Professional Learning Circle (Awards) with a view to applying for a TMC or VC citation in 2018.
Information about the University’s Awards program is available on the teaching and learning website. The recording and PowerPoint presentation – UTAS Awards – Getting Ready – is available from the Learning and Teaching in the Faculty of Health MyLO page: Professional Development Program: Overview.
